The film stars Rani Mukherjee in the lead role as a female actress. It has been directed by Mere Dad Ki Maruti director which was released in 2013, Ashima Chibber. She also co-wrote the movie alongside Sameer Satija and Rahul Handa.
This movie is jointly bankrolled by Monisha Advani, Madhu Bhojwani, and Nikkhil Advani under big banners of the Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment. Along with Rani Mukerji, actors Kristjan Ukskula and Erki Laur are also co-actors and will play pivotal roles in the movie.

This film is based on the real-life story of an Indian duo named Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya, who got married in late 2007 and shifted to Norway, to begin with their new life.
The story revolves around a mother and her year-long fight against the system of an entire country to bring her children back, who were taken from her and then forcefully admitted to Govt.’s Child Welfare Entity.
After a year-long battle and the intervention of the Indian government, she was reunited with her children back in 2012.
