The death of the elephant Bhogeshwar aka Mr. Kabini was the animal that had the longest tusks among all the Asian elephants. He is being mourned by several animal lovers on their social media handles.

Mr. Kabini had tusks over four feet long in size. The gentle giant was an attraction of the Kabini backwaters, South India. He took his last breath at the age of 60 years on 12 June due to age-related issues and natural causes on Sunday. The elephant was named so because he would be spotted most frequently near Bhogeshwar camp.

He was lovingly called Mr. Kabini and the elephant was found dead at the Gundre Range of Bandipur, near the Tiger Reserve. All the Tributes for the animal, who starred in many documentaries, poured in on the official Twitter app.

The Bhogeshwara, a 60-year-old elephant of the Kabini, Tiger Reserve forest who has the longest core tooth in Asia is no more, and several people worte:

1.“Known as Mr. Kabini, the largest tusked Asian elephant died in Kabini today. I have been following him for 6 years and will miss him dearly. He was considered to be one coolest tusker whom I have ever encountered.”

2.“The elephant aged about more than 50 years was named Bhogeshwara, but was popularly known as the ‘Mr. Kabini’ for its big tusks and was one of the most attractive tusks that touched the ground.”

Several people wrote about him and gave him tribute and wished to his soul may rest in peace. The forest department has decided to make him an icon for the conservation of elephants. Also, they are trying to preserve his tusks and exhibit them at their exhibition center.
