The Grand Prix of the Americas is set to be the next stop for the MotoGP 2021 season, know everything about the drivers who have already triumphed the Circuit of the Americas in the past. After the San Marino GP Fabio Quartararo sits at the top of the Championship standings with a lead of 48 points over Francesco Bagnaia who won the San Marino GP.

Francesco Bagnaia came out on top in front of his home fans and won back to back races. After previously battling Marc Marques at Aragon during the last laps of the race. San Marino played out to be sort of a similar story.

Bagnaia was constantly pressured by the Championship rankings leader Fabio Quartararo in the final laps. The Yamaha star was just 0.2s behind Bagnaia as the final lap started. A truly nerve wrecking moment for Bagnaia as he crashed last year at the San Marino GP.

Just like this year Bagnaia had a commanding lead in the race last year as well before crashing out. But Francesco held his nerves this time around and saw the chequered flag this time around to mark his second win in row.

The Grand Prix of the Americas is just nine years old and has a very dominant champion. The circuit has hosted eight races till now and seven of them have been won by Marc Marquez.
