Red Bull KTM Factory Racing scored valuable Championship points with the help of Brad Binder who showcased extraordinary courage at the Red Bull Ring. With 5 laps to go, the rain came pouring down at one end of the circuit.
Meanwhile, the top 5 riders led by Marc Marquez decided to go into pits and change to Intermediate, but, Brad Binder who was open the sixth position chose to gamble on the wet Red Bull Ring with slick tires and did not enter pits.
He was struggling for the most part but his gamble paid off as he emerged victorious after those 5 laps at the soaking Spielberg circuit. However, Marc Marquez went wide on turn 4 after exiting from the pit lane that forced him out of the contendership.
