After an entertaining 2021 season, FIM MotoGP is set to begin season 2022 from 6th March. As we inch closer to the start of the new season, more and more team changes or driver changes occur. The new season is bound to be an unpredictable tournament.

Team Changes

VR46 Racing Team entered the tournament and replaced Esponsorama Racing, who left after ten seasons. Petronas SRT left MotoGP sport after the 2021 season, and it was rebranded as RNF MotoGP Racing. Aprilia entered 2022 season with own full factory team for the first time in 16 seasons while Gresini made their return as a fully independent team.

Rriver Changes

2021 season Moto2 champion Remy Gardner and runner-up Raul Fernandez entered the 2022 season and will compete from Tech3 KTM. MotoGP legend Valentino Rossi announced his retirement after the 2021 season.

Marco Bezzecchi signed a contract with the VR46 Racing Team while Darryn Binder signed with Yamaha RNF. Iker Lecuone moved to Superbike World Championship while Danilo Petrucci moved to the 2022 Dakar Rally.

MotoGP 2022 Season Details And Schedule

The 74th season of MotoGP will feature 21 races from 6th March to 6th November. Fabio Quartararo is the defending Riders’ champion, while Ducati and Ducati Lenovo Team will be looking to retain Constructors’ champion and Teams’ champion title.
