Former India and Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli has been named the Most Valuable Celebrity, know the full list of names in India for 2022
beating out Bollywood stars Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and former Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni. According to Duff & Phelps’ Celebrity Brand Valuation Study 2021 titled ‘Digital Acceleration 2.0,’ Kohli is worth more than Rs 1400 crores.
The seventh edition of the study ranks India’s most powerful celebrity brands based on brand values derived from their portfolios of brand endorsements and relative social media presence. It acknowledges the impact of the pandemic’s second year on the overall celebrity endorsement space as well as the evolving Indian media and entertainment industry. Virat Kohli topped the list, followed by MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar, and Rohit Sharma in fifth, eleventh, and thirteenth place, respectively.
Most Valuable Celebrity In India 2022 List, Brand Value
1. Virat Kohli is India’s most valuable celebrity for the fifth time in a row, with a brand value of $185.7 million.
2. Ranveer Singh, who is currently ranked second, climbed a notch this year, with a brand value of $158.3 million.
3. This year, Akshay Kumar came in third place with a brand value of $139.6 million.
4. With a brand value of $68.1 million, Alia Bhatt moved up two spots this year.
5. This year, MS Dhoni ranked fifth with a brand value of $61.2 million.

7. Deepika Padukone – Rs 392 crore
8. Salman Khan — Rs 392 crore
9. Ayushmann Khurrana – Rs 374 crore

“While prominent Bollywood celebrities continue to appear on the list of the top 20 celebrity brands, there were some notable changes this year. More athletes, such as Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma, and PV Sindhu, rose to the top of the celebrity rankings. This significant increase was due to less competition from Bollywood celebrities due to fewer theatrical releases in 2021.” said Aviral Jain, Managing Director, Duff & Phelps ”
The overall brand value of the top 20 Indian celebrities is estimated to be $ 1.2 billion, according to the report. It increased by 13% when compared to 2020. In 2021, the total number of product brand endorsements by the top 20 celebrities increased to 376. In 2020, it was 357.
