Indian wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh hit 15 fours in his innings against the SunRisers Hyderabad. Back in 2018, Pant scored a total of 128 runs off just 63 deliveries along with 7 sixes. This was the innings when Pant introduced himself to the cricketing world.
4. Michael Lumb (16 Fours)
English opener Michael Lumb scored has the fourth most fours in an inning in the IPL. Lumb scored 16 fours in his knock of 83 runs out of which 64 runs came from fours.
3. Ajinkya Rahane (16 Fours)
Indian batsman Ajinkya Rahane has also hit 16 fours in an inning in the Indian Premier League. Rahane achieved this feat against the Punjab Kings (Kings XI Punjab back then) in his 98-run knock. Rahane also hit a six in that inning.
2. Paul Valthaty (19 Fours)
Paul Valthaty is one of those players who bursted into the IPL and then faded away in the same way. Valthaty’s favorite team was the Chennai Super Kings as he scored 2 centuries against them in the same season.
In 2011 Valthaty scored 19 fours in his innings against CSK which is the joint highest number of fours in an IPL inning. He scored a total of 120 runs of which 88 came off fours and sixes alone.
1. AB de Villiers (19 Fours)
Superman AB de Villiers also has 19 fours to his name in an IPL inning. He hit 19 fours against the Mumbai Indians in 2015 where he scored exactly 100 runs from fours and sixes alone out of the 133 runs he scored.
This was one of the most brutal hittings of the cricket ball. De Villiers as per his tag of Mr.360 scored runs all around the ground.
