Yassine who was named in Walid Regragui”s starting XI was lined up for the national anthems, however, as soon as the game started, the player didn’t seem to be anywhere.

However, he was replaced by Al Wehda’s goalkeeper Munir Mohamedi.

Many fans who stood at the stadium noticed the disappearance of Bounou, who’s popularly known as Bono when the game kicked off, and later they realized their favourite player was replaced by back-up keeper Munir Mohamedi.

For those who are curious to know about the sudden changes, let us tell you, as per a report by Daily Mail, Bono was replaced from the match after the Head coach discovered that he had an eye issue.

As per the outlet, the player notified his Head coach that he is having an issue in his eye and was feeling dizzy just seconds before the game’s kick-off. The same vision issue was reported in a BBC report.

Meanwhile, the manager of Morocco, Walid Regragui, confirmed in an interview that the goalkeeper suffered a clash in the game against Croatia.

Walid also revealed that Bono attempted to play as needed but he had to be changed because of issue’ persistence just before the match started. Yassine is likely to return for the match.

In his statement, Regragui stated, “He took a hit against Croatia. He wasn’t sure, we tried until the end. After the warm-up, he didn’t feel well. He had the honesty to give his place to someone else.”

However, the setback didn’t hold Bono’s team as they went on to beat Belgium via 2-0 shocking result.

Morocco’s players Abdelhamid Sabiri and Zakaria Aboukhlal came off the bench to score a third victory at the World Cup 2022 finals.

Let us remind you, the 31-year-old Canadian native, Bono is Morocco’s first choice goalkeeper. He plays for the Spanish club Sevilla.

Earlier he played for Morocco vs Croatia. The game was a 0-0 draw, however, the player received eye issues.
