What Is The WTA Monterrey Open And Format
It is played on hard courts in the open air. It’s usually composed of solid materials like asphalt or concrete, then coated in acrylic resins to harden the surface and define the playing lines while also giving some cushioning.
Indoor hardwood floors, comparable to an indoor basketball court, were formerly common, but they are now uncommon.
The tournament is part of the WTA Tour’s 250 series and is associated with the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). WTA 250 events are a category of tennis tournaments on the Women’s Tennis Association tournament that has been in place since the calendar was re-organized in 2021.
Previously, these tournaments were known as WTA International Tournaments.
The event was hosted at the Sierra Madre Tennis Club from 2009 to 2013, and from 2014, it has been held at the Club Sonoma.
