Mohanlal, Global Day 1 Of The Box Office’s Collection Ranks As The Eighth-Highest Opening Day Of 2022 In Kerala, Much Surpassing Padivattu, Know The Budget Of The Malayalam Movie Monster
The highly anticipated action thriller Malayalam movie “Monster” stars Mohanlal as a superstar. It was written by Udaykrishna and directed by Vysakh. The movie, which has been in production since November 2021, is now officially in theatres.

The Monster movie was made with a budget of Rs. 20 crores and was released on 250 screens in Kerala with a total of 815 shows. On Day 1 in Malayalam, over 55000 tickets totalling 85.55L were sold for Mohanlal’s movie. The worldwide gross total collection till now has reached Rs. 2.5 crore.
On Day 1, Monster recorded a total Malayalam occupancy rate of 31.88%. According to early reports, it performed spectacularly at the box office, particularly in Kerala. Given the scope of the film, an opening weekend domestic gross of 4.5–5 crores is expected, which will be seen as a respectable start.
It competed against Nivin Pauly’s Padavettu yesterday. The latter had a sluggish start but is anticipated to develop over the next several days thanks to WOM.
However, KGF Chapter 2 still holds the number one position with the highest day-one collection with Rs. 7.2 crores gross.
Is Monster Prohibited In The UAE?
One of the main markets for Malayalam movies, the Gulf Countries, would delay the release of Monster, according to the rumours. It was recently stated that it was having problems as a result of the LGBTQ references.
However, rumours also claim that the filmmakers are thinking of resubmitting the film to the nation for certification after making some changes.
Because it would require more time to complete the rescreening and other processes, the release date in the UAE has been delayed. Additionally, it was stated that Bahrain had removed the restriction on the film after trimming its 13-minute length.
