- Preki – 112 assists
Predrag Radosavljevic who is more popularly known as Preki was a Serbian-American footballer who played for Kansas City Wizards and Miami Fusion since the inaugural season in 1996. He is the only player to win the MLS MVP Award twice, which is now known as the Landon Donovan MVP Award.
Preki was included in the American National Hall of Fame in 2010.
- Carlos Valderrama – 114 assists
He is former Colombian international paer. Carlos Valderrama was known for his pin-point passes while being the attacking midfielder of the team. His distinctive hairstyle, alongside his precise passing and technical skills made him one of South America’s most recognizable footballers in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
He was MLS’s first ever MVP, in the 1996 season while he played for Tampa Bay Mutiny.
- Brad Davis – 123 assists
In his 14 ear long MLS stint, Brad Davis emerged as the 3rd highest player with the most assists in the history of Major League Soccer. He is widely known for his optimum game running technique while playing for Houston Dynamo form 2006 to 2015.
- Steve Ralston – 135 assists
Ralston was drafted 18th in the 1996 MLS College Draft by Tampa Bay Mutiny and he went onto win the first ever Rookie of the Year award. Steve Ralston played for Mutiny for six years before the team was contracted in 2002.
In his thirteen years stint in Major League Soccer, Steve Ralston scored 76 goals and registered 135 assists in 378 regular season matches. Furthermore, he added three goals and five assists in 30 playoff matches. He also served as captain for several seasons with New England.
- Landon Donovan – 136 assists

He is not only considered a footballing ‘God’ at LA Galaxy but in the only player to rank in both the most assists of all time and most goals cored ever in the Major League Soccer list.
