Kolkata Knight Riders emerged victorious in a fierce bidding war for Starc, who is set to make his IPL return after the 2015 season.

With a budget exceeding INR 31 crore, KKR was determined to include Starc in their lineup, joining the ranks of Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Jason Roy.

Starc now holds the record for the highest-paid player in IPL history, and based on his auctioned price of INR 24.75 crore, he stands to earn approximately INR 7,36,607 for every delivery bowled in the 2024 season.

This calculation assumes he bowls his full four-over quota in each of the 14 league stage matches. If KKR advances to the playoffs and finals, playing 16 matches in total, Starc’s per-delivery earnings decrease to 6.44 lakh.

If he plays 14 matches in the league stage, Starc will make INR 1,76,78,571 per match and if KKR manages to qualify for the playoffs and the finals, Starc will be expected to play 16 games and will be able to make INR 1,54,68,750 per match.
