Miss Kut 2022 Manipur Winner And Runner-Up Name, Contestants List And Prize Money

Teresa Niangngaihsang Varte Won The Title Of Miss Kut 2022 in Manipur 

On Tuesday, the State Level Kut Festival 2022 was held at Peace Ground, Tuibong, in the Churachandpur district. Know more about the competition.

The two-day Chavang Kut event that took place in Moreh at Gaingam Lantuol Ground came to an end on Tuesday. The main event of the festival, the beauty pageant, was held at around 8 p.m.. Ministers, MLAs, and other high officials were there.  

Vahhoichong Haokip won the prize as the first runner-up, and Rosy Niang Biak Mawi took home the prize as the second runner-up. Six more contestants were also chosen as champions of other sub titles. 

Nengdeikim won the title of Miss Beautiful, followed by Sisi Lhingdeichongkim Khongsai for Miss Beautiful Hair, Soibam Sushima Devi for Miss Beautiful Smile, Hillary Chanu for Miss Photogenic, Gloria Sanate for Miss Traditional Dress Designer, and Angelica Borah for Miss Congenial.

Ten contestants competed in the semi-final round of the pageant; the top five were chosen, and the top three advanced to the final round.

Prize Money Won By The Winner And Runner-Ups 

Teresa Niangngaihsang not only took home the Miss Kut-2022 crown, but also a financial prize of Rs. 1 lakh. The first runner-up, Vahhoichong Haokip, and the second runner-up, Rosy Niang Biak Mawi, both earned cash awards of Rs. 75,000 and Rs. 50,000. 

The festival included cultural dances from the Kuki people, music, and competitions for Mister and Miss Kut. 

The Festival Was A High Affair 

Letpao Haokip, the minister for Tribal Affairs and Hills, presided over the festival’s grand finale as chief guest, and Diganglung Gangmei, the chairman of the Hill Areas Committee, served as president. Special guests included Karong MLA J Kumo Sha, Tamenglong MLA Janghemlung Pamei, and Wangoi MLA Kh Loken.

The people who attended the programme are; Victor Limthang, the chairman of the Kut Committee, Col. Raza Israel, the commanding officer of the 5 Assam Rifles, and Chinneivah Haokip, the convener of the Moreh Town Committee, along with the members from the government and CSOs.

Minister Letpao pledged amidst the event to quicken the pace of the border town’s development efforts and projects while also wishing for prosperity and a pleasant Kut festival.
