Bridges was involved in a scandal in 2018 that had to do with NCAA rules. According to a press statement from Michigan State University, the best scorer at the school, Miles Bridges, gave $40 to a charity of his choice to make up for an NCAA violation that was found when the university looked into claims made in papers that Yahoo! Sports made public.
The FBI was looking into bribery in college hoops when they found the files. Former NBA agent Andy Miller employee Christian Dawkins said in financial documents that he gave Bridges’ mother $400 in cash and $70 for dinner.
After doing their own review, Michigan State said that they had found the charges to be wrong when it came to the loan. During the school’s review of these claims, it was found that Bridges’ family members had dinner with an agent without his knowledge. This goes against the rules of the NCAA. The NCAA brought back bridges, which MSU found out after the fact. In order to get his job back, Bridges had to give $40 to a charity of his choice, which was the cost of the meal.
