“I’m writing this letter to you, to refresh your memory on certain events where you played an integral role in affecting my son’s mental health that further led to him taking his life in the most gruesome manner. I find it extremely important to bring these events to light because no other child should ever have to go through what my son did,” the letter written by Rajna PM, the mother of Mihir Ahammed said.

Mihir was beaten, verbally abused, and forced to endure unimaginable humiliation even on his last day and his mother claimed that he was bullied for his skin color. A chat screenshot reveals that the accused students messaged each other on Instagram, “f*kk nigga he actually did,” after his death.

Rajna PM’s statement also claimed that a social media page called “Justice for Mihir,” which some of his friends had set up to raise awareness of these instances, had been removed and that the school, Global Public School, Ernakulam, had been intimidating pupils in an effort to preserve its reputation.

She shared screenshots of conversations among her son’s classmates about his passing that used offensive and prejudiced words.

Additionally, Rajna claims that the vice principal of GEMS Modern Academy in Kochi, where Mihir Ahammed was formerly enrolled, harassed her son. Regarding this, a petition asking for an unbiased investigation has been sent to the Child Commission.

On January 15, Mihir Ahmed, a Muslim by religion and a pupil at Global Public School in Thiruvaniyoor, Ernakulam, committed suicide by jumping from the 26th story of their home in Choice Paradise, Kochi. Mihir was a happy and energetic youngster, according to his mother, who found it difficult to comprehend why he had made such a radical change. She combed through his social media communications and talked to his friends and classmates to find the truth, and she found alarming proof of serious abuse, bullying and ragging he endured at Global Public School, Thiruvaniyoor in Kerala’s Ernakulam district.

A First Information Report (FIR) has been reportedly registered against the classmates of Mihir Ahammed. However, Rajna and her family fear that delays in gathering digital evidence may lead to the accused erasing their tracks.
