Miami Open 2023 preview
Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek are currently the reigning champions at the second stop of the ‘Sunshine Double’. The first event took place at the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells, California, earlier this month.
Much to the disappointment of many, world No.1 Novak Djokovic, nor tennis legend Rafael Nadal will feature in the U.S. In Djokovic’s case, the U.S. denied him entry as the country currently do not allow in unvaccinated foreigners. Meanwhile, Nadal tapped out of the tournament as he continues to recover from a hip injury.
However, fans will get to see other stars like Americans Coco Gauff, Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz and Jessica Pegula. Besides them a majority of the top-ranked tennis stars will also feature in the event.
