Mesut Ozil Documentary To Tell Story Of His Last Months At Arsenal

The 32-years old German midfielder joined Arsenal in 2013 from Real Madrid. After signing for Gunners, Ozil impressed everyone at Premier League with his skills and play-making abilities. He is the third all-time highest assist provider for Arsenal after Thiery Henry and Spanish Cesc Fàbregas.

It was going all well for Arsenal and Ozil until Wenger retired. Moreover, when Emery took charge, Ozil’s game time was reduced. Later on, after raising his voice against racism Ozil retired from international football at the age of 29. Additionally, he made several posts that led him into controversy.

Mikel Arteta joined Arsenal as a manager in 2019. Ozil was back into the squad but only for a few days. It was before the pandemic when Ozil made his last appearance for the Gunners. Moreover, he never appeared after March 2020.

AFC Bell posted a tweet, confirming that Ozil is in advance talks with several international media companies to make a documentary film. The film will tell us the back story of the time when Ozil was not into the squad and his last days.

As of now, the release date is not confirmed. If the deal goes on, we can expect the film in the second half of 2022. Also, there are only talks for now which means not even the title is decided. Currently, Ozil plays for Fenerbahçe in the Turkish League.
