Following a poor start to the new campaign, check out the sacking odds of Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino and what his future at Chelsea holds under new owner Todd Boehly along with his stats and salary
Chelsea have had one of their worst starts to the new campaign having won only once in five matches played.
Mauricio Pochettino Chelsea sack odds, stats, points, salary and contract details
Pochettino has not had it easy since returning to the Premier League this season and Chelsea remain out of the top half. Quite a popular number in Chelsea stats so far this season and not really in any positive way given that the Blues have only scored five times so far from five games and the last time Chelsea had this few points after five Premier League games was back in 1995-96 when they finished 11th.
Chelsea are paying Pochettino £200,000 a week and this amounts to a monthly wage of £400,000 and a net salary of £10.4 million with him brought on, on a two year contract.

Ever since American owner Todd Boehly acquired the club, the club has spent over $1 billion on transfer fees.
Chelsea makes poor start to the new campaign
Chelsea have so far won only one of the five league matches this season, with the other four ending in two draws and two losses each. Just recently, in their last match, Chelsea displayed another underwhelming outing in Sunday’s 0-0 draw at Bournemouth.
Despite coming close to taking the win with Raheem Sterling’s second-half free-kick that clattered down off the crossbar and Levi Colwill’s goal from an offside position, the Blues failed to make anything out of it. Moreover, substitute Cole Palmer saw a brilliant shot saved by Neto. As the final whistle blowed, large sections of the Chelsea fans who travelled to support the team at the Vitality Stadium started booing at their team.
Mauricio Pochettino addresses fans’ concerns
Following their most recent match, Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino acknowledged fans’ concerns for the club. He stated that the fans have the right to expect more than just five points from their opening five games. While sharing this he also brought out the fact that Chelsea have a rather long injury list.
The former Tottenham boss exclaimed:
Twelve injured today, three of four young guys, two keepers on the bench. I am going to cry, I am going to complain — to who? I have to accept this. That is the circumstance and we need to accept it.
“We have our opinion, our reality. I think we are doing good things, more than people can expect but I told you before the season, Chelsea is about the win. Young players need to feel what it means to be a Chelsea player.”
Pochettino shared that he understands the role of emotion in football and how the fans help the team win games. However, he added that there is only so much that he can do. Adding that the squad is still quite new and a lot of players need to understand and feel what it is to play for a team like Chelsea.

Sheffield United manager Paul Heckingbottom currently has the highest odds of getting sacked. His newly promoted team are currently in deep waters having won only one point from their opening five matches. Moreover, there are several reports suggesting a return of his predecessor Chris Wilder.
Close behind him is Sean Dyche, who’s Everton side are level on points with The Blades. Everton recently lost another game 1-0 at the hands of Arsenal. Interestingly, one of the ‘big six’ manager is also in trouble – Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils recently lost 3-1 at home against Brighton. Notably, it was their third defeat across their first five games for the first time in the Premier League era.
Pochettino sacking odds and future at Chelsea
As of now, it is still too early to talk about Pochettino’s future at Chelsea and chances of a sacking. However, considering how Boehly got rid of Thomas Tuchel and Graham Potter in the past quite easily, there is still some amount of possibility. All things considered, things don’t look too daunting for Pochettino for now with odds of 18/1 and ranked 11 among the 20 managers. He hopefully has some more time left to prove himself at his new role.
