Mateo Kovacic Injury Update, Return Date, News And Chelsea Injured Players List Ahead Of FA Cup Final
After missing the win over Leeds on Wednesday, as well as matches against Wolves and Everton, Kante returned to first-team training this week. Mateo Kovacic had to be withdrawn on Wednesday night after sustaining an ankle injury, leaving the Croatia international in a battle against time to be fit for the match against Liverpool.

Mateo Kovacic
The Croatian midfielder had just recently returned from injury, but he is now out again after injuring his ankle in Wednesday’s 3-0 win over Leeds, forcing him to leave after 30 minutes. It’s a significant setback for the Blues, since Kovacic has previously caused difficulties for Liverpool, most notably scoring a magnificent volley in a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge in January.
Tuchel provided an update on Kovacic following the victory over Leeds, saying: “It appears to be bloated and painful. It’s the same ankle he’d previously injured, and it doesn’t appear to be in good shape.”

N’Golo Kante
Kante was left out of the Blues’ matchday squad for the third time in a row on Wednesday as he continues to rehabilitate from an injury sustained in April during a match against Manchester United. The French international is expected to return to the squad for the FA Cup final against Liverpool, which will help Chelsea cope with the loss of Kovacic as they prepare for their most important match of the season.

Ben Chilwell
Chilwell had surgery on his ruptured ACL in December, but has been working with Chelsea’s under 23s this week to speed up his recuperation. The England international last played for Chelsea in a 4-0 Champions’ League group stage win over Juventus.
Tuchel had stated in April: “Ben will be able to participate in team training with the kids in the coming weeks. Hopefully, he will be able to practise with us at the end of the season.”

Callum Hudson-Odoi
Callum Hudson-Odoi, a winger has not played for Chelsea since a 3-2 FA Cup fifth-round victory over Luton Town in March. Hudson-Odoi has been out for two months after suffering an Achilles ailment and then a lower back problem.
The 21-year-old has not been seen in first-team training. He is unlikely to play again this season, according to Tuchel, who stated that he will not push him back. “With Callum, we take things day by day and week by week,” Tuchel added. But, it is not yet possible for him to join in with team training. We’re not going to rush him either.
