Plot
Mask Girl will tell the narrative of Kim Mo-mi, an ordinary office worker troubled by a strong sense of inadequacy about her appearance, who becomes enmeshed in a variety of scenarios while working as an online radio jockey incognito behind a mask.
Mo-mi’s colleague, Joo Oh-nam, has an unrequited crush on her. Oh-nam, who is also dealing with self-esteem issues and an overall sense of invisibility, finds refuge in online broadcasts. Unexpected events eventually drag Oh-nam into a predicament that crosses his path with Kim Mo-mi.
Kim Mo-mi will be played by Lee Han-byul, Go Hyun-jung, and Nana all at the same time. Lee Han-byul was chosen as Kim Mo-mi from a pool of over 1,000 auditioned actresses.
Lee Han-byul plays Kim Mo-mi, an ordinary colleague, in her pre-surgery state. Nana takes on the character of Kim Mo-mi after undergoing surgery and transforming from a typical office worker to a beautiful woman.
