Recap of Episode 5 for Mashle: Magic and Muscles
Magic and Stamina, or Mashle In Episode 5, we learned that the Easton Magic Academy is split into three departments. We observe that Mash and Finn, who work in the Adler section, are wasting away the day doing nothing until Finn remembers that they have an assignment due soon.
Seeing his sister’s face in the locket he wears makes Lance act dramatic, so Mash shoves it in his eyes as he lectures them for not doing anything and falling behind on the projects that are eroding the division’s reputation.
Dot tries to establish himself as the protagonist of this world, but Mash and his friends aren’t interested, and Dot’s jealousy only grows as he watches Lemon flirt with Mash. A notorious second-year student targets Mash, but he escapes punishment because he didn’t hurt Mash’s cream puff.
Lance chooses to go out with Mash, but soon after, Mash starts dating Dot. Dot comforts a distraught young woman, only to lose his temper when the woman pretends to be interested in him in order to steal their money. The two end up in a fight, with Dot showing off his magical abilities but ultimately losing to the second year; Mash is furious since his cream puff has been spoiled.
