A Nashville-based famous broadcaster, Mark Howard, passed away at the age of 65, know his cause of death, obituary, age, wife and net worth

According to a report by NewsChannel5, Mark passed away at his home. 

He was quite popular among his listeners for his co-hosting of a show named ‘Wake Up Zone’ on the radio station 104.5.

Aside from his anchoring skills, he was famous for his unique sense of humor and extensive knowledge of sports that had gathered his audience’s attention for years.

Mark is survived by his wife and children. After learning the tragic news of his demise, his friends and fans had taken to social media to pay their tributes.

Reportedly, the broadcaster passed away on Saturday, July 23rd. The cause of his death isn’t yet known.

According to a report by NewsChannel5, he was “found unresponsive at his home on Sunday morning”.

Throughout his career as a broadcaster, Mark covered some of the greatest moments in sports.

For instance, he also covered Braves and Twins battles in the 1991 World Series and the Tennessee Lady Vols National Championship run in the late 1990s.

Reportedly, he also had worked with Nashville Predators as host of the pregame and post-game shows.

The Radio station 104.5 took to their official Twitter account today and tweeted that the channel would be honoring him all day on July 25 by sharing Mark’s stories and will allow his fans and listeners to share their favourite moments of the iconic broadcaster. The 65 year old had a net worth of close to $1 million.

His Career

He had an impressive career run on television and radio as well. Mark had joined the NewsChannel5 in 1986 as the weekend sports anchor. He held this position for approximately 20 years.

Later after leaving the news network, he went on to join 104.5 radio station, to serve as a host of a talk show ‘The Wake Up Zone’. It is believed that he had worked with the radio station for about 16 years.

Mark co-hosted this show along with Kevin Ingram and former Tennessee Titan Frank Wycheck.

However, he and Kevin were dropped from the show in 2020 when the radio station reshuffled its schedule for shortened hours.
