Marcus Rashford’s new goal celebration
Marcus Rashford’s new goal celebration involves running to the corner while pointing at his temple and standing still. He does this sometimes while closing his eyes and it has taken off ever since the season restarted.
Rashford first performed his new celebration after his winning goal back in December 31 against Wolves in the Premier League. The forward came on as a substitute as punishment for being late to a team meeting. He went on to score the only goal of the game.

So far, Rashford hasn’t openly confirmed the full meaning behind his new goal celebration. However, the celebration is rumoured to indicate Rashford overcoming his mental health and confidence issues, which he confirmed to have faced in the previous 2021-22 season.
He stated:
I was struggling at times with more mental things. It wasn’t really my own performance, but other things off the pitch. That’s the biggest difference from last season.”
