Previously, he was supposed to do so against Errol Spenco Jr. which quite an anticipated matchup. Manny has over 62 career wins, with titles in eight different weight classes. Even at the age of 42, he remains a threat with three straight victories. In doing so, he secured the WBA welterweight title in the process before it was stripped from him due to inactivity. Pac-Man last beat Keith Thurman in July 2019.
Meanwhile, Ugas won the vacant WBA belt in September 2020 by defeating Abel Ramos. The 35-year-old had lost his two previous title fights in his career and has yet to defend his current belt. The Cuban had been preparing to defend his title for the first time against Fabian Maidana, but will instead take on Pacquiao now, who has a record of 62-7-2.
