Ralf Rangnick: Tactics, Formation, Style Of Play, Coaching Career, Trophies, Stats And Records
German manager Ralf Rangnick is a wonderful tactician who knows what he wants from his players and demands high-intensity football. He has polished young German managers like Jürgen Klopp, Thomas Tuchel, Julian Nagelsmann, and Ralph Hasenhüttl.

Rangnick is famous for mastering the Gegenpressing style of pressing where the team presses the opposition with high intensity after losing the ball. All the players close down the subject with the ball and try to regain possession as soon as possible.
Rather than regrouping after losing the ball, Rangnick demanded his players to close down in the opposition half and win the ball back. He likes to play attacking football and thinks that a game can only be won by scoring more goals than the opposition. Rangnick credits all his game knowledge to Valeriy Lobanovskyi who was the head coach of Dynamo Kyiv.
