On May 26, Manchester City will hold their parade for winning the title. The Manchester City celebratory parade will start at 7.30 pm and end at about 9 pm on Sunday to give Deansgate enough time to be reset after the Great Manchester Run events conclude at 3.30 pm.

Starting at the National Football Museum, the open-top bus will travel through Cathedral Gardens and up Deansgate. It will make stops along the way so supporters can get a close-up look at the team and Premier League trophy.

Manchester’s city centre is anticipated to be particularly packed on the day of the trophy parade and Great Manchester Run. There will be several road closures, so anyone who intends to come into town is advised to consider public transportation.

Online at manchester.gov.uk/roadclosures, there is a list of all the roads that will be closed during the Great Manchester Run this weekend. This list is updated in advance of the event. Those who intend to see the parade on Sunday are encouraged to pack light—no large bags—and refrain from bringing glass bottles inside.

City’s celebration may get hampered with FA final loss to United

After Josko Gvardiol and Stefan Ortega made a terrible mistake, Alejandro Garnacho gave United the lead. Later, Kobbie Mainoo completed a masterfully executed United move to double the lead. With a sneaky strike that went past Andre Onana, Jeremy Doku cut the lead in 87th minute but City could not equalise the score.

After winning the FA Cup, United will compete in the Europa League the following season. Being at the eighth place in the Premier League, it appeared that Manchester United would not have European football to look forward to the next season. However, their victory tonight guarantees them a spot in the Europa League group stage. Other clubs may also be affected because Newcastle United won’t play any European football next season and Chelsea will participate in the Europa Conference League.
