Manchester City are said to be contemplating swooping in for Sergio Ramos after his talks with Perez fell through
The last couple of months have seen Real Madrid complete unravel as a club. Not only did the side fail to win a single trophy in the bygone edition of the season but has also seen unsavoury developments disrupt it away from the pitch.
The club’s involvement in the European Super League and Florentino Perez’s decision to stick with his plans of giving birth to the competition have left Real Madrid in disarray. Not only has the side faced massive backlash for its decision but could face severe sanctions from UEFA if Perez refuses to part ways with his decadent attitude.
Adding to the club’s woes was Zinedine Zidane’s recent statement after stepping down from his role as manager of the club from the second time. In a hard hitting statement, the Frenchman has claimed he was undervalued and disrespected by Perez during his time at the club.
However, the ongoing developments don’t look to be the end of Real Madrid’s debacles. The club could lose out on the services of club captain Sergio Ramos with Florentino Perez yet to agree to his demands of a pay rise.
Manchester City To Move For Sergio Ramos
Ramos whose ongoing deal at Real Madrid runs out after June 30 has failed to reach any kind of a meeting point with Real Madrid. The CB’s brinkmanship has not paid off with his yearly demands of a wage rise being clobbered by Perez.
In the midst of the ongoing fiasco, Manchester City are looking to make their move for Sergio Ramos. Pep Guardiola is said to be besotted by Ramos who has gone onto score on 100 occasions for the Madrid based club.
Ramos who will be available on a free transfer is set to be offered a two year deal as per ESPN. The 35 year old is set to meet with Perez and Real Madrid’s think tank on Friday to further take forward discussions on his contract at Real Madrid.
