His real name is Raveendran Nair. He was born on 28 October 1936 in Thiruvananthapuram, Travancore, British Raj. His father’s name is Madhavan Pillai, and his mother’s name is Bhavaniyamma. He also has three siblings.
Poojappura Ravi completed his schooling at Thirumala Higher Secondary School. However, not much is known about his educational life.
He was married, and his wife’s name is Thankamma. The couple have two children: a daughter named Lakshmi and a son named Hari Kumar.
He died on 18 June 2023 in Marayur, Idukki, Kerala, India. At the time of his death, he was 83 years old.

Cause of death of Poojappura Ravi
He had been suffering from respiratory distress, and regrettably, he passed away from his condition while he was being taken to the hospital.
