On Sunday, Ajit Pawar, Chhagan Bhujpal, and many other party leaders rebelled against Sharad Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and joined Maharashtra’s CM Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Seva Party.

Ajit Pawar, a former NCP leader, took the oath of office as Maharashtra’s deputy chief minister, while 37 other former NCP legislators joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Pawar and nine other members of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have been appointed Ministers by the BJP.

Prominent NPC leaders Chhagan Bhujbal, Hasan Mushrif, Dhananjay Munde, Dilip Walse Patil, Dharmarao Baba Atram, Aditi Tatkare, Anil Patil, and Sanjay Bansode are among the politicians who joined the BJP.

Ajit Panwar, the newly appointed deputy chief minister, has called a meeting for July 5 in Mumbai to determine the next course of action. The NCP was concerned that this shift in the Maharashtra Party would also affect politics in Karnataka.

Ajit Anantrao Pawar, Maharashtra’s current deputy chief minister, was born on July 22, 1959. Panwar is a native of Katevadi village in the Baramati taluka of the Pune district. He left his education in college when his father passed away suddenly. Later, he received his secondary education and has his Secondary School Certificate (SSC), issued by the Maharashtra State Board.

Ajit Pawar’s father, Anantrao Pawar, worked for renowned filmmaker V. Shantaram at Rajkamal Studios in Bombay. However, there is no information available online about his mother. Ajit Pawar is the grandson of Sharda and Govind Pawar.

Sunetra Pawar, a former Maharashtra minister and the child of Padamsinh Bajirao Patil, is the wife of Ajit Panwar. The couple’s two children are named Jay Pawar and Parth Pawar. Parth entered politics and ran in the 2019 Lok Sabha Elections from the Maval Constituency in Maharashtra. Pawar’s son, Jay is a businessman.
