More about Mahantam

Mahantam, a young firm founded by brothers Dhaval and Jayesh Prakashbhai Nai, has only sold three devices to date but has already had requests from a number of suppliers.

Dhaval and Jayesh are natives of the Gujarati hamlet of Banaskantha. While working on his diploma, Dhaval had the inspiration to create a device for cleaning the tea cups used by roadside tea vendors. Later, with the guidance of his professor, he came up with the idea and later patented it.

Mahantam Tea Glass Washing Machine strives to use technology to tackle this problem by offering machines because it recognizes that hygiene is not a luxury but a need.

The creator of The Mahantam asked for Rs. 30 lakhs for 10% equity. The pitch they gave to the sharks was well received by all of them, and they came to an agreement to offer Rs. 30 lakhs for 20% equity in the firm which made the company valuation at Rs. 1.5 crore rupees.
