One such character is Mash Burnedead, who’s secretly living in the forest with his father and spending everyday training for his body to such a level of perfection that he would eventually be able to overpower magic.
But one unfortunate day, his identity got exposed, he was forced to enroll in the Magic Academy to protect his closed ones.
Chapter 118 of Magic and Muscles Recap
After reading Chapter 118, we got much more information about Finn and Rayne’s past life and the reason why Rayne was so stiff towards his brother.
While on the other side, the fourth child, who’s the greatest pole-arm user in the world wasn’t properly able to attack Rayne as he defended himself pretty well at the last moment.
Chapter 118 of the manga was titled as “Rayne Ames and the Determined Decision”. The chapter began with the fourth child talking to Rayne about how he will kill him easily as he has already done this 300 times.
Later, Rayne starts to throw pole attacks at him and the fourth child easily dodges them all.
At one point, he even tells Rayne that defeating him is impossible as all of the evil children have their hearts to Innocent Zero and have them replaced with Demon Hearts that can help in helping quickly.
After knowing his secret, Rayne quickly reminisces and decides to attack the fourth child by summoning the Area of God of War but he ends up being defeated by the Opponent’s Athena God of Combat Summon.
In the end of the chapter, we all saw Rayne Ames surviving from the pole attack and claiming that he will kill the fourth child.
Throughout the series, he was a side character whose existence didn’t affect the story much but now as the stakes are, he has become one of the most loved characters by the readers.
The reason behind this is simple, an emotional connection with his younger brother Finn, which the fans are anticipating will happen in the next few chapters.
Throughout the series, his brother was shouting at him to let him help in defeating the fourth child but Rayne just told him that he would only get in his way.
This shows us how desperately he wanted to protect his brother, who’s his only family left.
Expectations from Chapter 119
Fandom can expect a relationship angle between the brothers as the focus key of the next chapter as in his current condition, Rayne has a very low rate of defeating the fourth child.
But if he were to team up with his younger brother and let him help him for once by using his magic power to attack, then there could be a chance for them to defeat him.
