Game developers Electronic Arts EA are getting ready to release the new Madden 24 game, find out the expected release date along with all other details of the highly-anticipated game and the cover athlete

Ahead of the official release, EA will reveal the cover athlete for Madden 24 today on Wednesday, along with the game’s official trailer.

Although the game is still yet to come for a couple more months, fans are already very excited to start playing the game.

Madden 24 release date

Although EA haven’t given the exact date, the release date for Madden 24 will be set around August 2023. So far, the previous two editions of Madden were released on August 19 and August 20, respectively. As such, fans can expect a similar release date ranging around those dates.

EA released the official Madden 24 trailer today on Wednesday, June 7.

Madden 24 price

So far, EA haven’t revealed the final prices for Madden 24, but some fans have speculated that the game will feature tiered pricing yet again with PS5 and Xbox Series S/X users paying slightly more. There will also most probably be special editions of the game which will allow early access to gameplay.

  • PS4, Xbox One, PC: $59.99 for standard edition in 2022
  • PS5, Xbox Series S/X: $69.99 for standard edition in 2022

Madden 24 player ratings

EA are still yet to reveal the payer ratings for Madden 24. Last year, the player ratings for Madden 23 were released on July 18. As such, fans can expect a mid-July reveal for this year too.

Madden 24 new features

Although EA are still yet to introduce all the new features, reports have indicated that the new edition will be like a “make or break” edition of the game. EA have already stated that they have “big plans” for the game, so Madden 24 will possibly include tons of new features worth its price.

Aside from gameplay, EA has already announced that players who previously lost their saved files during the December update can purchase Madden 24 at half the price.

EA will most probably not pull out Madden from older consoles just yet. As such, players will most probably be able to play the game on the same consoles as last year.

EA will reveal the cover athlete for Madden 24 on June 7, and this year’s cover will be the first Madden game in three years to feature an individual player. Madden 23, featured John Madden as an act of tribute to the legendary coach who inspired the game following his death. Meanwhile, Madden 22 featured both Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes on the cover. Lamar Jackson, who won the NFL MVP title, was the last individual cover athlete. He featured on the cover of Madden 21.

Madden 24 How to play early access

Although EA have not revealed any details yet, players usually get to play the early access of the Madden games when they pre-order certain versions of the game. Last year, player who purchased the All-Madden edition got to play the game three days before the release date. Back in 2021, fans who purchased MVP or Dynasty editions of Madden 22 also received early access.

Moreover, fans who subscribe to EA Play usually receive about 10 hours of early access. The progress from these 10 hours, also carry on once the full game gets released. Fas can currently subscribe to EA Play for $4.99 per month or $29.99 for a year.
