The M Chinnaswamy Stadium, previously known as the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) stadium was established by the patronage of Government of Karnataka in 1969.
The stadium has served as the home venue to Karnataka state teams, as well as the Indian cricket team. Moreover, it has served as the home venue for Bengaluru-based IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore men’s team since 2008.
M Chinnaswamy Stadium pitch report
The pitches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium are generally batting friendly in the limited overs format. The flat wickets and the small ground dimension make it a batter’s paradise while bowlers have a difficult time. However, ever since black soil was introduced to the pitches there has been a mixture of high as well as low-scoring games.
