As people attempt to confirm the identity of the woman in the video, the number of online searches has skyrocketed. Whether it is Ms. Lydia or not has not been formally confirmed.
Imsha Rehman and Minahil Malik, two Pakistani TikTokers whose private videos also went popular in recent weeks, have been involved in a number of similar news.
After her private video became viral, Ms. Rehman, a well-known personality on TikTok, received a lot of negative feedback. Some social media users accused the 22-year-old, who has a sizable following, of purposefully sharing the footage to garner publicity.
Nonetheless, it seems possible that Ms. Rehman was the victim of a data breach. She deleted her social media accounts following the event.

Another Pakistani influencer, Minahil Malik, was also accused of disclosing a private video with her partner, a claim she vehemently disputed. Although Ms. Malik complained to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), she was also criticized for allegedly exploiting the incident for her own gain.
Without mentioning Minahil Malik, Pakistani actor Mishi Khan attacked her, claiming that she sought fame by drastic means. She compared it to a sequence from the Kareena Kapoor starring Bollywood movie Heroine.
Such occurrences have brought attention to the growing trend of such videos targeting celebrities and online social influencers, as well as the discussions raising concerns about online privacy, consent, and accountability.
