Luka Modric Al-Nassr FC contract offer details, salary and transfer fee as he rejects move
Al Nassr dreams to sign Luka Mordric.
At 37 years old, Luka Modric seems to be a strong start for the team situated in Qatar. They made an offer to sign the Croatian international for a two-and-a-half-year deal worth more than €40 million per season earlier this week. It would eventually take him to third rank among football players in terms of pay after Cristiano and Kylian Mbappe.
Modric has reportedly decided to reject Al Nassr’s offer, according to sources from the Croatian website 24sata. The veteran wants Real Madrid to be his final club and wants to hang up his boots while still competing at the best level. In the upcoming months, Modric is ready to sign a one-year contract extension at Santiago Bernabeu and is awaiting the start of talks. An agreement is not ruled out given the excellent level at which he continues to perform.
Modric has shown no sign of ageing.
At the recently finished FIFA World Cup, the seasoned midfielder guided the Croatian national side to a third-place finish. In a recent Copa del Rey encounter last week, he was rested for Real Madrid’s game against Villarreal.
The Croatian has made 16 appearances in La Liga this season and has contributed two assists along with three goals. He has produced five significant chances thus far in the league, averaging 1.2 shots and 1.4 important passes per game. When Los Blancos and Atletico Madrid square off tomorrow in the Copa del Rey quarterfinals, Modric is anticipated to start in the centre of the field.
It is uncertain whether he will sign a new deal with Real Madrid for the foreseeable future. But it is apparent that despite being given a lucrative deal and the chance to rejoin his former teammate Ronaldo, Modric is not interested in moving to Al Nassr.
