Javorius Scott, also known by his stage name, JayDaYoungan was shot dead at the age of 24 on July 27th, 2022. In the incident, the rapper’s close male relative, Kenyatta Scott Sr. was also injured.

The incident occurred shortly before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, and the rapper was immediately transported to a local hospital in critical condition. According to TMZ, he had lost a significant amount of blood and was immediately taken to surgery.
Just before midnight, police announced that JayDaYoungan had died. Kenyatta is, however, in a stable condition.
JayDaYoungan Biography
born on July 15, 1998, JayDaYoungan grew up in Bogalusa, Louisiana. he was highly influenced by rappers like Lil Wayne, Lil Boosie, etc.
At the age of 18, he dropped out of high school to pursue a career in the rapping industry. He released his first mix tape in 2016. In June 2020, he released his studio album, baby23, which debuted at No. 46 on the Billboard charts. “Spinning” and “Taking Off” are some of his top songs.
JayDaYoungan was working under Atlantic Records Label. The label signed him in 2019 and distributed his album “misunderstood”. His most recent songs were Big Steppa and Heaven Gates. You can stream his songs on Spotify, YouTube and Apple iTunes.
The 24-year-old rapper had big plans for his future. In an interview he said, “Later on in my career, when I get to a certain point, I will be signing artists, starting my own label. Just perfecting my craft each and every day.”.
He had over 1.29 million followers on Spotify. The rapper had an estimated net worth of $500,000. He is survived by a son who is still an infant.
His height stood at 5 feet 10 inches and he had a sister named Kenya Janell.
Police Report on the Rapper’s Murder
The Bogalusa Police Department released the news of the rapper’s death through a Facebook post. The post read, “We can now identify the victims as Javorius Scott, A.K.A. JayDaYoungan, and close family member Kenyatta Scott Sr. We can also confirm that Javorius Scott has died as a result of his injuries. Kenyatta Scott Sr. has been transported to another facility and we have been told he is in stable condition.”
According to the police, another shooting took place in the area after the rapper was shot. The shootings are being speculated to be linked to each other.
