On Monday, July 3, Selden native Robert Bush, who was participating in the school’s intramural summer sports program, had just been on the field for four minutes when he suddenly passed out. Despite the quick actions of his coaches, who used a defibrillator and did CPR, their heroic efforts to resuscitate him were ineffective.
Immediately, Robert was rushed to Stony Brook Hospital, where medical professionals placed him in a medically induced coma. However, his family tragically decided to take him off life support on Friday, July 7, in order to allow organ donation, according to CBS New York.
