In 1975, Mary Elizabeth Truss was born in Oxford, England. She was just four years old when her family moved to Scotland. Truss attended Leeds’ Roundhay School after attending West Primary School in Paisley, Renfrewshire. Her height stands at 5 feet 3 inches and she is 46 years old.
In 2000, Truss married fellow accountant Hugh O’Leary and the couple have two daughters with her net worth anywhere between $2-5 million.

Political Life
Truss presided over the Lewisham Deptford Conservative Association from 1998 to 2000. She was chosen to serve as a councillor for Eltham South in Greenwich in 2006, and in 2010, she filed her resignation just before her tenure was over.
She subsequently served for two years (2012–2014) as Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Childcare and Education. When the cabinet was reorganised in 2014, she was later named by Prime Minister David Cameron as Secretary of State for the Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs.
