The Official Legends charity match, sponsored by AXA, will take place at Anfield on Saturday, March 26, 2022, to generate cash for the Liverpool and Barcelona Football Club Foundation.

The Barça Legends are taking a strong side to a game that will be played on such an attractive stage, one of the most iconic venues in European football where there is always a very unique atmosphere. Hence Albert Ferrer will be taking Angoy, Guzmán, Juan Pablo Sorín, Dehú, Roger García, Amor, Soler, Belletti, Mendieta, Edmilson, Trashorras, Giovanni, Luis García, Javier Saviola, Giuly, Edgar Davids, Francesco Coco, Oriol Riera, Dani Tortolero, Juan Carlos and Jofre.

Liverpool FC, with a dazzling managerial team of Kenny Dalglish, Ian Rush, John Aldridge and John Barnes, will be lining up with goalkeepers Jerzy Dudek and Sander Westerveld, defenders Fabio Aurelio, Jamie Carragher, Daniel Agger, Jose Enrique, Sami Hyypiä, Jason McAteer, Bjorn-Tore Kvarme and Phil Babb; midfielders Glen Johnson, Steve McManaman, Patrik Berger, Vladimir Smicer and Salif Diao; and a forward line of Dirk Kuyt, Stewart Downing, Luis García, Maxi Rodríguez and Milan Baros.

The Use Of The Funds
The money raised for the Barça Foundation will go toward a project aimed at empowering, training, and employing young migrants arriving in Europe without adult references, as well as a project aimed at using sport to foster social inclusion and equal opportunities for disabled children, while the money raised for the LFC Foundation will go toward various Covid-19 recovery programmes, as well as the Forever Reds fund, which helps veteran players in their later years of their careers.
