Nicholas Pooran of the Lucknow Super Giants broke the record for the fastest fifty of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) season on Monday at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, know the list of the fastest 50 this year

Pooran got to 50 in just 15 balls when Wayne Parnell hit him for a six in the 16th over. In order to do this, he beat Ajinkya Rahane’s 19-ball fifty against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium.
Pooran’s fifty off 15 balls is also tied for second fastest in IPL history, with both Sunil Narine and Yusuf Pathan having done the same. KL Rahul and Pat Cummins share the record for the fastest IPL fifty, which they did in just 14 balls.
The Royal Challengers Bangalore put up a huge total of 213 runs, which Pooran helped chase down. His 62 off 19 balls, which included four fours and seven sixes, put the Lucknow Super Giants in charge and helped them win.

At the IPL 2023 auction, the West Indies cricketer was bought by the Lucknow team for Rs. 16 crore. During the last IPL season, Pooran played for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 14 games, he got 306 runs and hit at 144.34. Pooran made his IPL start in 2019 with Kings XI Punjab, which is now called Punjab Kings. He has played for the team for three years, from 2019 to 2021.
