Mumbai Indians completed the third-highest run chase in IPL history in the final over of their game against Punjab Kings on Wednesday in Mohali, tying them with the Delhi Capitals.
The chase was led by the Indian batting duo of Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, who scored 75 and 66 runs, respectively.
Tim David (19*) and Tilak Varma (26*) finished the job with 11 balls left after Rohit Sharma was removed for a duck as he struggled more.
Ishan Kishan was named man of the match for his batting efforts.

Sam Curran gave up 41 runs in three overs whereas Punjab Kings’ top bowler in the prior head-to-head, Arshdeep Singh, gave up 66 runs in 3.5 overs.
While Rishi Dhawan played 1/20 overs, Nathan Ellis claimed two wickets for 34 runs.
Prior to that, Liam Livingstone batted first and got the game going with a 42-ball 82 that included four sixes and seven fours. After smashing 49 runs in just 27 balls, Jitesh Sharma was still alive.
Shikhar Dhawan, the team’s captain, struck a 20-ball 30 while Matthew Short added 27.
Piyush Chawla extended his run of MI wickets with a spell of 2/29, while Jofra Archer had a field day, handing up 56 runs in four overs.
While young pacer Arshad Khan also had a costly spell of 1/48, Uttarakhand’s Akash Madhwal had a poor start to his IPL career with a spell of 0/37 (3 overs).
Meanwhile, as Mumbai Indians directed a spectacularly successful chase of 215 against Punjab Kings in an IPL 2023 match on Wednesday, May 3, they took a dig on social media.
