Brendon McCullum scored the first century in league history during the league’s opening match on April 18, 2008, at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. McCullum’s century was one of just two individual batsmen to score 150 or more runs in the league’s history.

Meanwhile, a number of slow-moving centuries have been scored in the Indian Premier League over the years. Check out the list of players who have scored the slowest IPL centuries.
