The Most Unbreakable NBA Players Records In League History

Wilt played basketball between 1961 and 1962 and an average of forty-eight and a half minutes per game. For basketball followers, it is known that playing forty-eight minutes a game means that Wilt Chamberlain played almost every minute of the 1961-1962 season.
To be clear, Chamberlian missed only eight minutes during one particular game when he was ejected but still played in 99.8% of his team’s minutes. The top seven spots in minutes per game in NBA history belong to Wilt Chamberlain. The closest a player got to reaching Chamberlain’s record was Monta Ellis when he averaged 40.3 minutes per game in the season 2010-2011.
Scott Skies of the Orlando Magic set a record of thirty assists in a game. In 1990, Skies broke Kevin Porter’s twelve-year-old record by one assist. In the game against Denver, Skies made thirty assists. The Denver and Magic players combined twenty-eight assists and fourteen assists for each side.
The Atlanta Hawks are marking their territory
Cal Bowdler of the Atlanta Hawks established a record of seven personal fouls in a game. This negative record could have cost any player his job. According to NBA regulations, a player fouls out after six fouls, however, the scorekeeper during Bowdler’s game was either asleep or quite tipsy as he miscounted the number of fouls committed by Bowdler. It was only after the game had finished that it transpired that Bowdler had made his sixth foul and kept playing.
Although Wilt Chamberlain’s records are mostly related to scoring, another unbreakable record set by this player is his one-hundred-point game. Chamberlain had 118 50-point games, meaning it is nearly four times as many as the player fairing in second place – Michael Jordan with 31.
Chamberlain achieved more than 50-point games in one season than any other player in their whole career. In addition, no other player is envisaged to reach Chamberlain’s mark of the highest scoring average in a season. He averaged 50.4 points per game in 1961-1962. So far, no other player has even averaged 40 PPG in a season.
And Quadruple – Double award goes to …
For players, hold the record of the 1 Quadruple-Double. The players are Nate Thurmond of the Chicago Bulls, Alvin Roberston and David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs, and Hakeem Olajuwon of the Houston Rockets. Considering that there are only four of these in NBA history and all made by different players, it is quite plausible to say that it will be extremely difficult for a player to break this record and reach two quadruple-doubles.
Getting ten of one of the defensive statistics makes this feat so difficult. Chasing statistics in terms of points, rebounds or assists can be reachable but chasing after blocks and stealing is almost impossible. The only player who came close to a quadruple-double was Draymond Green in 2017. Green has triple-double rebounds, assists, and steals but failed to achieve the quadruple-double by unfortunately missing on the easiest of statistics – points.
Bill Russell of the Boston Celtics set a record of eleven NBA Championships as a player. Players like Tom Brady leads all NFL with six Super Bowl rings, and Yogi Berra leads all MLB players with ten World Series rings. Bill Russell tops both of them with eleven NBA championships in his thirteen NBA seasons.
It is imperative to state that in the fifties and sixties, the NBA had a different structure than today. Teams had only to procure two-win series to win the championship. In the 1965-66 season, the regulations were changed and became three series. Also, the changing of the playoff format, the increase in parity, and players not staying with their teams the whole of their careers have made breaking this record rather impossible.
Most points generated in a quarter
The record of most points in a quarter changed through time from Wilt Chamberlain to David Thompson, George Gervin and Carmelo Anthony. However, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors brought down records and established his record. In 2015, in the game between the Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings, Thompson scored thirty-seven points of the team aggregate of forty-one. He set another record by knocking down nine 3-pointers during that quarter and finished the game with fifty-two points.
Walt Bellamy of the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons manage to play in eighty-eight games during 1968-1969. During this season, Bellamy played with different teams, enabling him to reach the total. Actually, Bellamy played in each of the Knicks’ first thirty-five games of the season and consequently played the rest of the season’s games with the Detroit Pistons.
Negative records and not a myth
Bubba Wells of the Dallas Mavericks set another negative record. Following specific instructions from his coach Don Nelson, Wells used the Hack-a-Shaq strategy on the Bull’s player Dennis Rodman. Wells fouled his opponent every opportunity he got and got ejected from the game after two minutes forty-three seconds after picking up his sixth foul. The Maverick’s plan backfired as Rodman proceeded to play one of his best games for this team.
These are just a few of the unbreakable records in NBA history. It will be tough to break these records, although everything can happen in sports.
