Nicolas James Wilson aka Scotty Dynamo, his spouse, sent a heartfelt message on social media announcing the tragic news. His note read, “On July 2nd, my husband, best friend, and soulmate @mikeheslin passed away from an unexpected cardiac event after a week-long battle in the hospital. Michael was young, in perfect health, and the doctors have no explanation for what happened. Michael was brilliant, selfless, talented, and a real-life guardian angel.”

Mike Heslin was a multi-talented artist whose works have been exhibited on national stages and screens. He was also a director and writer. Mike won Best First Time Director for Happy Halloween, a horror short film. Five more festivals, including the Ethereal Horror Fest, Horror Film Awards, Bridgeport Film Fest, and LA International Horror Film Festival, also included Happy Halloween on their official selection lists.
At the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival, it took home five honors, including Best Horror and Best Trailer.
