Lionel Messi Transfer To PSG Blocked By FC Barcelona In Lieu Of FFP
Spanish daily sport newspaper MARCA were able to gain access to the complaint which is based on financial facts. The complaint also claims that Financial Fair Play should rule out the chances of PSG getting Lionel Messi’s signature.
Dr. Juan Banco issued the following statement on behalf of the Barcelona’s group of lawyers: “PSG’s ratio with regards to Financial Fair Play is worse than Barcelona’s.”
“In 2019\20, 99 per cent of PSG’s income was used for salaries, whereas it was 54 per cent for Barcelona.”
The complainants are of the view that the competition has been twisted out of shape by the French Club’s spending and they seek to block the Argentine’s move to PSG.
PSG already have players like Neymar and Mbappe who earn a great deal at the French Club, and now having signed big players like Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donnarumma, Georginio Wijnaldum and Achraf Hakimi this summer, Lionel Messi will have to wait and watch what happens next.
