#LIGER, true to its #Urduwood genes, is celebration of rape, invoking Bhagwan
"Bhagwan ke liye chhod do".
Could they have replaced Bhagwan with Rasul?Probably inspired by gangrape video of a Dalit child where she said same words to rapists
Truly disgusting and shameful. Chhi https://t.co/4mn5dvOxYc

Urduwood used to attract bewda crowds to theatres by adding detailed rape scenes where women were made to say – Bhagwan ke liye chhod do mujhe
Now, this line is inserted in item number as a rape-normalising joke
Upcoming film Liger that they want you to watch with your family https://t.co/4mn5dvwoK4

Complaints must be filed against #Liger from all across India for glorifying rape, associating it with Bhagwan, and celebrating an actual case of gangrape of a Dalit child where she pleaded "Bhagwan ke liye chhod do".
It must be legally challenged https://t.co/dBekkRtahH

Recently, there is a latest buzz swirling around Twitter related to the lyrics of Liger’s film Aafat song. Although the song has garnered more than 32 million views in Hindi on streaming platform YouTube, the song is now inviting trouble for the team.
Users are now criticising Aafat song lyrics for its apparent regressive tone. In the song, film’s lead actress Ananya Panday is seen saying twice “Bhagwaan ke liye chor do mujhe,” which led the netizens to believe that the song is trivializing a serious issue such as rape.
These lines to which netizens are having problems seem to be taken from the old Hindi movies where female characters were frequently seen pleading for mercy to escape the traumatic situations.
The lyrics of the Aafat song are written by Rashmi Singh and Virag Mishra and is composed by Tanishk Bagchi while sung by Zahrah S. Khan and by the composer himself.
Speaking of the boycott of Liger, the 33-year-old actor Vijay Deverakonda opened up on Monday. He said he stands with the truth on the issue of boycott which is currently trending on social media.
He also revealed that he is not scared of anything as he had already faced a lot of things in his life.
He further said that he trusts God and he also has the blessing of his mother. Further, he went on to plead to netizens for all to work together for the success of the entertainment industry.
However, film is continued to be boycott by the netizens for a number of reasons but the main issue that remains is the film’s connection with Bollywood’s famous director and producer Karan Johar’s connection with it.
Speaking of Liger, the movie is directed by Puri Jagannadh while it is bankrolled by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
