20 year old Lawson participated in the season finale of the Asian F3 championship with Irish team Pinnacle Motorsport in November 2018. He then proceeded to dominate the weekend, winning all of the races, setting the fastest laps, and securing pole positions to finish seventh in the championship.

He took first place in the season’s opening race at Sakhir, Bahrain.
