The first of two legs of the 2023 Concacaf Champions League final will take place with LAFC and perennial Liga MX competitor Club León facing off.
At the Estadio León on Thursday morning, MLS team LAFC will take on Mexican powerhouses Leon. While LAFC demolished Philadelphia Union 4-1 on aggregate to go to the final, Leon defeated Tigres UANL 4-3 on aggregate in the semifinal.

After placing sixth in the Liga MX Clausura season, Club León hasn’t participated in an official match since losing (3-1) to Atlético San Luis on May 7 during the Liguilla’s preliminary rounds. That may either be a disadvantage (form, sharpness) or a benefit (health, rest) as this legendary club reaches their first-ever CCL final.
