FC Barcelona and the LEGO Group have come together to create a block version of the Camp Nou stadium
The LEGO Group and FC Barcelona have joined hands to create a LEGO version of the club’s home stadium, Camp Nou. The 5,509 block set sees a meticulously crafted Camp Nou, one which is now up for sale on both Barcelona’s and LEGO’s site.
LEGO Group Reveals Riveting Camp Nou Model
The set doesn’t only conjure up the stadium but the intricacies also see the company tailor the concourses, players tunnel, the club’s moto and coach. The stands can be spilt into four sections to give a further detailed insight into the stadium and allow a look at the stadium’s VIP entrance, stickers and flags embedded with the set to cover the stadium with.
โCreating the Camp Nou out of LEGO bricks was a really fun challenge, from giving life to the terraces with the โMรฉs que un clubโ motto to visualising the players as they walk out the tunnel onto the pitch, you can almost feel the passionate atmosphere ofย match day,” Rok Zgalin Kobe, designer of the LEGO Camp Nou went onto say.
The set is available to be purchased starting 1 September and is bound to find a string of takers in Spain despite Barcelona’s dwindling supporter base.
The club is bound to be wishing it could even carve LEGO money to quell the financial crisis it finds itself in. With the new La Liga salary cap in place, Barcelona had to resort to parting company with a slew of players with Lionel Messi being the most notable one.
The side also went onto release Antoine Griezmann and Emerson Royal on deadline day of the transfer window.
