On Monday at Doha’s West End Park International Cricket Stadium, Shahid Afridi-led Asia Lions overcame the World Giants by seven wickets to claim the Legends League Cricket Masters 2023 title. Following this wins, Lions have avenged their last year’s final loss against Giants.

2023 Legends League Cricket Masters World Giants vs Asia Lions final result, score, & best performers
The World Giants decided to bat first and Shane Watson led them to 147/4 in 20 overs. Throughout the powerplay overs, three wickets fell, but Jacques Kallis and Ross Taylor stepped up to the plate and put on a 92-run partnership off of just 69 balls. Taylor contributed 32 off 33 while Kallis scored 78 runs off 54 balls without being out. For Lions, Bangladeshi spinner Abdur Razzak’s spell proved most efficient as he bagged two wickets and gave away just fourteen runs in four overs.
In response, Asia Lions started strong as their openers Upul Tharanga and Tillakaratne Dilshan put together a 115-run partnership in just 59 deliveries. Although Bret Lee dismissed Tharanga in the 10th over, Asia Lions managed to achieve the 148-run chase on the first ball of the 17th over.
